Packaging Limited (GenPak), one of the pioneers in the plastic
packaging industry in Trinidad and Tobago, has been at the forefront
of development and innovation in this industry since the company
was established in 1976. The
development of GenPak has been client driven. As market requirements
changed, the company introduced products to meet the new specifications.
This ability to respond to its customers’ changing demands continues
to be one of the major strengths of GenPak. GenPak
offers packaging choices to meet customers’ demands for greater
product visibility and longer shelf life. Our range of Polypropylene
Laminated products allows our customers to select the structure
which best meets their needs. The range includes clear, metallized,
pearlized and Polyvinyldichloride coated (PVDC), each laminated
in a structure of our customers’ choice for packaging products
such as snacks, biscuits, chocolates, spices, pasta, candles and
baking powder. GenPak was the first flexible packaging manufacturer
in Trinidad and Tobago to offer Rotogravure printing. In
the same way, our range of Polyethylene products caters to our
customers’ specific application. We work with resin suppliers
in identifying the proper mix of resins that will meet requirements
for seal integrity and sealing speed. GenPak offers a very wide
range of Polyethylene packaging - as bags or film - for products
such as rice, bread, oats, laundry detergents, toilet tissue,
seafood and many more. GenPak
is proud of the quality control systems built into its operations,
which ensure that our products conform to the highest international
standards. We have sufficient plant capacity to allow us flexibility
in operation to ensure that customer requirements are met promptly.
Our
plant is strategically located and equipped with significant capacity
for the extrusion of polyethylene film. We also have two laminators,
six printing presses and six bag-making machines. GenPak’s
in-house graphics department is able to produce printing plates
exactly to customer requirements. We have put in place international
arrangements to produce engraved rotogravure print rollers to
customers’ specifications for use on our printing presses. In
addition to serving the Trinidad and Tobago market, GenPak’s products
are exported to all countries in the Caricom region. General
