Inspection and Metallurgical Services (CIMS) was established in
1982 to provide high quality reliable service in the field of
welding inspection on behalf of clients and now offers a much
wider range of inspection services throughout the Caricom Area.
Services offered by CIMS include :

Testing - Visual, radiographym magnetic particle, dye penetrant
and ultrasonic testing.

Assurance and Control - third party inspectors on behalf of
clients to ensure conformity with international codes and standards.

and Post-Weld Heat Treatment - in accordance with code requirements,
establishing and implementing treatment procedures using electrical
and gas firing methods, and hardness testing upon completion.

Metallurgical
Services - material identification, failure analysis and material
selection.

Welder
Training - training, testing and certification of welders and
weld inspectors to AWS standards Paint and Coating Inspection

In accordance with NACE Standards, establishing appropriate
procedures for specific applications and training and certification
of Industrial Painters.

Tank
Calibration - calibration of vertical and horizontal cylindrical
tanks in accordance with API standards.

Corrosion
Control Services - design, supply, installation, monitoring
and maintenance of cathodic protection services. manufacture
and supply of Zinc_It, a 97% high solids zinc cold galvanizing
compound.

Manufacture
and supply of CIMCLEAN, an enviroment friendly rust remover
In order to meet the needs of its many clients
CIMS personnel are certified or trained to meet the international
standards established by such bodies as: American Welding Society
(AWS) American Society for Non-destructive Testing (ASNT) American
Society of Mechanical Engineers ( ASME) American Petroleum Institute
(API) National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE)
CIMS has carried out inspection work on most of the major construction
and rehabilitation projects in the Energy and Petrochemical
manufacturing sectors in recent years. Because of the reliability
of its work, CIMS has emerged as the preferred inspection company
on major projects in Trinidad and Tobago. In addition, CIMS
has become well known and respected throughout the Caribbean
region, having undertaken projects in most countries in the
area.
